Is this your first time canning? Or maybe you have not canned in years and it is time for a refresher course! Welcome—this class is for you. Crystal Carter is a master canner and homesteader. Crystal and her family love living off the land and being self-sufficient. She loves teaching to cook all things from scratch, canning things they grow, cheese waxing, sourdough making, gardening, and much more. During this first canning class, Crystal will talk to you about the history of canning, the tools you will use when preserving food, and which preservation is best. She will also talk about the different methods for pressure canning, water bath canning, and how to store canned items. She will discuss botulism and the myths around canning and all that is needed to get started on your journey!
